Interview with TopLine Royalty Owner Stephanie Polite

TopLine Royalty Boutique embraces and empowers women of all shapes and sizes by providing the latest and trendy apparel and fashions. They also a collection of sweet aroma scented candles, apparel ranging from sizes small to plus size (4X), fashion jewelry, stylish sunglasses, handbags, women’s heels, coats, and more.

As a tall, plus-size woman, Stephanie Polite expressed her challenges with finding trendy and stylish clothing to fit her figure. This is what lead Stephanie to open TopLine Royalty Boutique.

What do you enjoy most about being a fashion designer?

Stephanie: The thing I enjoyed most about being an owner of a women’s fashion boutique is that we can embrace women of all shapes and sizes by providing the latest quality trendy apparel and accessories so that women can feel confident in themselves.

Who is your favorite designer, and why?

Stephanie: My favorite brand that I always would shop at is Fashion to Figure. Their brand is savvy and chic. They also provide quality clothing and stands out from most brands. They offer plus size with stylish trendsetters.

What is your favorite fabric to work with?

Stephanie: My desired fabrics are cotton and polyester. I love cotton because it has efficient quality and lasts longer. The reason I love polyester is because it has some stretch appeal and comfort for those people that are a bit curvy in all the right areas.

Who or what are your inspirations for creating your designs?

Stephanie: I was inspired to open a women’s fashion boutique because from my childhood to early adulthood, I always felt embarrassed about how I looked. I am a tall, plus-size woman, and society is accepting of women like myself. I felt like we were not being embraced in the fashion community. Most people put tall plus-size women in a small box when it comes to fashion and expect us to accept it. I wanted to express and show that we are fashion icons and trendsetters too.

What do you believe are elements of being a successful fashion designer?

Stephanie: To be successful in the fashion industry, I believe the elements that are needed are uniqueness and consistency. I believe that one must step outside the box and their comfort zone and demand attention for people to see that they are serious about their business. I also believe that you must be consistent because this shows that you care and you’re serious about what you’re doing.

What are 3 things you would like everyone to know about you?

Stephanie: Some things I would like for people to know is that I am goal-oriented and authentic. I always set goals for myself, and no matter what’s going on, I manage to figure out a way to complete it whether I faced obstacles along the way. I never give up and always make it my mission to conquer what I am pursuing. I want people to know that I am always the same person. What you see is what you get. I’m always reliable and trustworthy. I am the go-to person because I will get the job done, and you won’t have to ask me twice.
