Check out the interview below:

What was your driving force to become an entrepreneur?

Kymme B: My driving force to become an entrepreneur was financial stability and freedom to raise and spend time with my kids while making money

What topics do you usually speak about?

Kymme: Self Worth, Leadership. Credit Worthiness, Self-Discovery, Empowerment

Where did the title “Shepower” come from?

Kymme: I adopted that title because I felt that word embodied everything that represents me– being a strong, confident woman that knows her value and the power she possesses. The power of a woman is unmeasurable when she knows her worth and that definitely spoke to me.

With multiple businesses under your belt, can you describe your typical day?

Kymme: Absolutely…my days usually start at 5am. I’m up taking care of household things until about 6:30 then in my home office from about 6:45-7:30 to check emails, see what’s on my schedule for the day, and what calls I need to make. Depending on the day, I will head out about 8am to either of my offices, boutique, or sometimes both in one day if needed. Most of the day in either office, I am seeing clients, working on programs, etc. If it’s a boutique day, I arrive around 9am and get ready to open the doors at 10 am. Throughout the day, I’m chatting with customers, moving merchandise, and overseeing the online store. I’m back home about 7pm and I begin to prepare for the next day.

What has been your most satisfying moment in business?

Kymme: Helping others start their journey and watching them succeed.

What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur?

Kymme: Faith, Motivation and Determination.

What entrepreneurial methods have you learned to keep you focused and productive in your day-to-day busy schedule?

Kymme: Focus on your goals -When you focus on the goals you have set for yourself/business, you will remain motivated to reach them on a daily basis. Everything you work on should be a step to achieving your success. I learned not to dwell on things that have no value in what I’m trying to accomplish. If it doesn’t help you reach your goals then it’s standing in the way of you getting there.

Out of your businesses, which do you focus the most on?

Kymme: I focus mainly on my women’s organizations because it’s my passion to help build and motivate women and teens to succeed.

How have you overcome trials and tribulations in your life to become the success you are today?

Kymme: Through faith, prayer and always believing that God can make a way out of no way. Please understand there have been many trials and rough roads on this journey and I’m sure there will be many more to come, however I stand firm in knowing that I will make it through every one of them. You have to remember that everything you go through was not meant to break you, some things were meant to build you.

Let me share with you what I learned through my own experiences; you have to release in order to reclaim your power so you can rebuild your life.

What piece of advice would you give to people who want to become entrepreneurs?

Kymme:

  • Believe in yourself
  • Be sure of what you want to do and why
  • Research before starting
  • Have a plan, vision and mission
  • Be patient, determined, and motivated
  • Keep your circle small
  • Always remember that no one can believe in your dreams more than you.

What’s up next for you?

Kymme: I’m working on a self-help guide and book, preparing for the “Rock Your ShePower” 2022 conference, and working on a new podcast and magazine.
