Italian Alternative Rock Band Posh Releases New Album Titled ‘Port Out Starboard Home’

Italian Alternative Rock band Posh recently released a 10-track album titled ‘Port Out Starboard Home.’ The Duesseldorf, Germany group has been established since 2001 and has thrived ever since with music streams on some singles surpassing 40,000. Now in 2022, Posh shows up and shows out on the new album.

The album offers a balance of soft and hard rock with striking drums and electrifying guitar strumming. The vocal deliverance in each track, yet somber, allows audiences to grip unyielding emotions. Ideally, the project gives insight into journeys based on relationships with others and relationships with oneself.

I’ve Always Been sets the album off and is about feeling unsatisfied and coming to the realization that life is bigger than self. In order to come to that realization and accept it, one must first take a step back in time. Chasing Joy is a run most of us can relate to. What must it take for joy to come back again? Although the steps might feel complex the result is keeping self-alive while constantly feeding our brains and soul.

It’s fair to say we all know a Mr. Anyone (song title) in our lives. That one person who does what they want to who they want regardless of consequences or how it affects others. This is one of the more intense records on the album. In Open Arms, audiences will feel the honesty of wanting to be back in the arms of that one person, that one unforgettable person, who takes their breath away with their eyes.

Plan B (watch the video below) touches on a new way of life. When a past filled with lies can no longer be, one must try to become wiser, more patient, and more careful. Plan B is not one that will thrive instantly, most often there will be hiccups and bumps in the road. Everything Is So Bad is another gripping record that stands out. When we fall victim to the games of others with pieces of lies, we simply fall apart and that hits like a domino effect.

In The Last Goodbye, one comes to terms with the end of a relationship. It’s not about right or wrong, or the ups and downs, it’s more so about being able to survive the aftermath of that last goodbye. Time Has Come piggybacks that theme and expresses that after waiting for far too long, a new time has come. A new breath to inhale and exhale.

We Are Falling Down goes through the emotions of getting so close and then falling right back down again. It’s a cycle that seems impossible to end, which brings us to the finale of the album. Near The Ballons Room, it’s the same room for everyone and the same game for everyone. What becomes of one when floating too far away, ultimately out of sight?

Once again, the album ‘Port Out Starboard Home’ by Posh is a 10-track project that brings to light certain elephants in the room when it comes to relationships, relationships with others, and with one’s self. The soft vocals, which flow over soft, hard, and at times intense guitar strumming and drums are sure to resonate long after the album is over.
