“Light of Heart” is the first song of the EP and Habbig offers comforting harmonies while a jazz ensemble of instruments and melodic arrangements cascade. The song sums up how music, regardless of the type, genuinely is the light in our hearts.

A backdrop of slightly upbeat instruments and innovative jazz sounds steer in “On My Way.” Habbig describes NYC with its neon lights, packed subways, and people chasing hopes and dreams. Somber piano keys lead the intro in “What Could Be.” Habbig offers encouragement during times the world feels too cold to face another day and when life seems to be unkind. She assures that she will be there during those times to wipe tears away and to turn eyes to a world of what could be.

“Little Red Lighthouse” sways with captivating keys and shadowing sounds. Lighthouses beam with hypnotism but also lead during ocean-blue sails and treacherous storms that at times, overhang.  But Habbig also reminds us it’s lighthouses that outshine our inner darkness when it attempts to prevail. Again, her soothing voice turns emotions into a canvas of art.

Habbig brings in compelling, striking drums for the EP’s finale “Wanderlust.” Her composition serves as an ode to travelers or those starting anew in a world away from home. It also touches on the realization that although memories come along, there’s also so much left behind. The song depicts an array of emotions that Habbig authentically captures.
