Jordan Cann & Eric Michael Federman Direct Thrilling Sci-Fi Series “The Elementals”

The whole world is watching to see who will be the next Elemental Champion. This science-fiction series is about a superhuman race of people called “The Elementals” that are ordered to fight in an annual tournament organized by government leaders until they revolt and cause an uprising against the human race. The pilot episode for “The Elementals” is available at projectelementals.com

An essence of “Mortal Kombat” meets “The Hunger Games.” Director, writer, and actor, Jordan Cann along with producer, director, and actor, Eric Michael Federman have a unique friendship, to say the least, and people refer to these two dynamic producers and directors as the new Matt Damon and Ben Affleck duo.

Filmed at JLFX Studios and Electric Pony Studios, the series has captured the attention of famous figures like Walter E Jones from the original Power Rangers series, who said he loved the film’s martial arts and the story so much that he was interested in joining the cast in future episodes. Cobra Kai’s Ken Davitian was thrilled by the trailer that he took time out of his busy filming schedule to attend the red carpet premiere of The Elementals

“I was really excited to have such a film produced that incorporated all of my favorite aspects of cinematic storytelling. Sci-Fi, drama, and my all-time favorite, martial arts. Not easy throwing all three of those into the mix”, said Jordan Cann.

Fans can expect the story to grow and the world of the Elementals to expand. The character’s identities will continue to develop, relationships will continue to build, and tensions will continue to rise. This pilot set the table for the future of the franchise.

“If we were going to produce this film, let’s run it right and make it something that fans can relate to and something that they will remember, especially in how we accomplished this”, said Eric Michael Federman.

The journey to creating this edge-of-your-seat Sci-Fi series began when they were performing stunts on a film and Eric recognized Jordan’s face on a poster from Jordan’s previous film, “Street Dreams – Los Angeles.” Eric approached Jordan and he spoke about getting into film production. Jordan so happened to have a few scripts for Eric to look at in hopes that they can collaborate on something cool. Eric wanted to do a feature, but Jordan suggested a short film given it was Eric’s first film. Jordan’s only pre-written short is a 17-page script for the pilot of “The Elementals”–a Sci-Fi kicking off their climb as they jumped off the deep end of a pool that was filled with obstacles.

Rise of The Elementals

Some humans began to evolve having super human-like powers relating to four of the earth’s elements. The humans called these people The Elementals. As they started to increase in population and power, it created a threat to the human race. The humans of all nations joined forces and went to war with the elementals. With the advantage of technology, humans won. After the war, the humans decided to sign a world treaty stating that all newborn elementals must be neuro chipped and their power levels must be monitored to not exceed over 1,000.

The Fight to Death

The humans also organized a global sporting league where all elementals at the age of 18 and over may be randomly selected to battle each other to death with each Elemental representing their homeland and element. The winner is awarded respect, endorsements, and notoriety which helps them excel in a world that is against them.

About Jordan Cann and Eric Michael Federman

Jordan Cann was born on October 3rd to professional artist, Malcolm, and Sandra Cann, R.N. He was raised on the rough streets of Queens, NY and it was not until the age of 7 when he relocated to Hampton, VA, where he dived into martial arts, gymnastics and later decided to shift his focus on dance. He began watching all the legends, such as Michael Jackson, James Brown, Sammie Davis Jr., and Usher to tune his style. He choreographed his first original piece, ”Shackles” at the age of 12. He later went on to study Ballet, Jazz, Latin, African, and Ballroom, but he could not deny his love for Hip-Hop. When he wasn’t dancing, he continued to excel in martial arts and gymnastics. Jordan was later introduced to acting when he was given the lead role in a church play.

Hollywood is where he started as a professional dancer working with artists such as Will.I.Am, Britney Spears, Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, 50 Cent, Celine Dion, and more while landing commercials for companies such as Dreamworks, Axe, Verizon, Little Caesars, and Nickelodeon. His martial arts came in handy where it landed him a small role in the movie, “Straight Outta Compton.” After working on large sets and seeing how things were done, a passion for filmmaking emerged. Jordan decided to enroll in the Los Angeles Film School where he earned his degree, specializing in editing, writing, and directing. Since then, he went on to produce several award-winning films under his film production company, J&S Film Productions.

Eric Michael Federman was born in Mountain View, California on January 18th, 1989 to Esperanza Agbayani and Michael Federman, and is of half Filipino and half Israeli descent. He grew up in the Bay Area, then moved to Sacramento, CA, where he spent his teen years. As a child, he was involved in a wide variety of sports including Basketball, Football, Baseball, and Tae Kwon Do, to name a few. At the age of 15, Eric dabbled in the performing arts in the local Sacramento area, taking acting classes and performing in several plays in the early 2000s, before moving on to other things. After graduating high school, he served three and a half years in the United States Army as a light wheel mechanic, stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas. Following the military, Eric tried several career paths before deciding to pursue acting, once again. Upon booking a few roles in local Sacramento films, he decided to move to Los Angeles in 2015, where he started training with several acting coaches and schools including Aaron Speiser, and former movie star, Lewis Smith (Heavenly Kid, Southern Comfort). After booking several shorts and working behind the camera, Eric then decided to try his hand at filmmaking. In 2020, he met filmmaker and fellow actor, Jordan Cann on a film set, which ultimately led to the collaboration of producing and directing “The Elementals.” Ambitiously taking on an action sci-fi, they successfully completed the film in late 2021, marking his first project as a filmmaker.
