Erinem Releases Edgy New EP ‘The Gambit’

Texas-based artist Erinem releases a game-changing 8-track EP titled ‘The Gambit.’ The EP is available now everywhere music is sold.

The triple threat of rapper, producer, and avid lyricist, Erinem delivers ‘The Gambit’ in an uncanny spoken word meets Slim Shady fashion. The intense lyricism is raw in substance and strategic with clever punchlines. Erinem unleashes her skilled craft consistently throughout the project’s entirety without leaving any gaps or the need to skip to tracks.

‘The Gambit’ is a crucial piece of work for anyone considering entering the music industry. Erinem touches on ultimate sacrifices, how to maneuver around, and most importantly how to outthink and outsmart the competition…

Critical Condition opens the floodgates of the EP. The hospital scene intro sets a chilling tone for what’s to follow. Doctors are tending to shake patients who were left crippled and in critical condition from doses of Erinem’s lyrical blows. Rabbit Punch is filled with blatant, cutthroat bars that annihilate leeches and bottom feeders who are just not cut out for the realm of rap. Erinem does this without even leaving a trace or crease in her swag!

Check Mate is more of a personal track and invites listeners into Erinem’s thought process. She is high on her ability and exudes nothing but realness. However, some might consider her a liability as her real and society’s definition of real differ, yet she refuses to be anything else. Underdog, in my eyes, can be noted as the top track of the EP. Erinem’s lyrical monologue not only resonates through ears but hits the core…She’s been spinning words since baby bottle days and now in present time, locked…loaded…provoking the industry to listen and take heed.

Shadow Boxer describes Erinem’s readiness to get into the ring and battle anyone who bigs themselves as competition or a threat. No gloves, no partner, not hype man needed just one mic. Battle Cry is Erinem’s Dear John letter to the game. Pointing out how the game has fallen asleep, OD’ing on Ambien, she demands a shot to resuscitate! She doesn’t need money or any plugs, just one shot and one chance to show and prove (side note, this EP is the only proof needed).

Friendly Fire divulges into Erinem’s tumultuous inner struggle, a relatable one. We often feel we are our worst enemy, yet at the same time, we also feel we are our own best friend. Erinem’s remedy is not in the form of a pill or from shrinks with granny chained eyeglasses. For Erinem the only hopeful and tangible lifeline is her pen.  The Gambit concludes the EP and vividly paints a canvas brimming with sacrifices. Sacrifices Erinem made and continues to make to claim her stance and make a name for herself in the industry.  “you fight and you strive for this prize, but it comes at the highest price, you will have to sacrifice, for a slice of paradise. I hope you win the game, when you do, I hope you can stand to live with what, you lose, what will you choose?”  Erinem is grinding to make history no matter the personal losses and is clear she will reign as a Texas chart-topping rapper.
