Arda & The Stolen Moon Release “Outsider in Perpetual Motion” Album

Singer/songwriter Arda along with her band The Stolen Moon release their highly anticipated album titled ‘Outsider in Perpetual Motion’ featuring Sarah Fenwick, Nama, and Stefanos Georgiades with production by Robert Camassa.

The 9-track album provides audiences with a diverse selection of songs from playful to coming of age and from poetic to melodic. Arda includes trendy pop culture references into her songs that are sure to entice listeners with mention of the Kardashians, Miley Cyrus, and Ed Sheeran.

Arda begins the album with Emotional Hacking, where she uses witty humor to express her struggle in the realm of Social Media and trendy technology. Her thumbs are not quick enough for texting and she can’t compete with Kardashian glitter. Most importantly, there’s no emoji to identify her moods. In The Duke of Icicle, Arda delivers a unique blend of fairytale and reality that depicts ecology in 2021. Signals defines methods of communication dating back to fossils, forest dances, and smoke signals. Arda compares that with verbal communication, which ironically, often is misconstrued.

Twenty63 is another song where comedic relief is displayed. Arda is not prepared for such year and all the futuristic concepts that comes along with it. She wants to feel alive and breathe air…a robotic lifestyle doesn’t suit her. Wishing is heartfelt in vocal and lyrical deliverance. A love song, reflecting on memories and wishing to be where love exists. The Pebble in My Shoe serves more as a reminder not to sweat the small stuff. Why complain about the weather when there’s a man contemplating jumping off a rooftop? Arda’s melodies ignite a change in perspective.

In Upset the Apple Cart, Arda conveys abstract views of women’s abuse in all forms; sexual, physical, and verbal. She offers hope and a need to unify as tall pillars. In Monkey’s Arda shares an epiphany that comes in lieu of her reoccurring dream of crashing ocean waves…One night A monkey appears, symbolizing her need to loosen up. Arda concludes the album with Fools & Amolina Moon which describes the age-old tale of love hate relationships…starting as lovers and ending as strangers.

Overall, Arda displays an impeccable vocal ability to flow over innovative live instruments. Her melodies offer a soothing vibe along with thought provoking content. ‘Outsider in Perpetual Motion’ is a superb mix of pop and rock with invigorating bass, guitars, and drums that accentuate Arda’s bare emotions.
