FWM: The Women Who Roar Summit is not your ordinary conference. What can we expect from your conference on April 8, 2021?

The Summit is a virtual three-day immersive experience happening April 8 – 10, 2021. The Women Who Roar Summit brings together leading female trailblazers from prominent corporations, cross-industry professionals, and thriving entrepreneurs who are yearning to roar and be seen. Attendees will learn from some of the most influential thought leaders and executives, mobilizing them to achieve their goals on their terms.

FWM: mindsets from “I can’t. I’m too scared.” To “I can and I will,” how will this Summit change lives?

This Summit serves as a transformational experience, igniting the fire and inner lioness that lives within all women. We curate experiences that truly empower women to own their magic and individuality. We change lives by giving women the access, education, and collaborative support they need to live life on their terms.

FWM: You are the President and Founder of The Female Collaborative, tell us about your organization.

The Female Collaborative is a national network consisting of over 2000 trailblazing women who collaborate, educate, and provide access to each other, revolutionizing how women work and do business together. The Female Collaborative offers masterclasses, networking events, vision board workshops, interviews with celebrities and influencers, business connections, and coaching and mentoring opportunities to help women actualize their dreams on their terms.

FWM: What excites you the most about your Summit?

The “Women Who Roar Summit is equal parts inspiration and motivation. Our board is passionate about The Female Collaborative and the work we do to mobilize and uplift women who want to shatter glass ceilings or grab the next rung in the career jungle gym. The Summit is a culmination of the work we do daily throughout the year and an opportunity for women to connect on a genuine, substantive level while learning how to grow their businesses or careers simultaneously.

We have some of the most influential leaders of our time speaking, including:

  • Sallie Krawcheck, one of the most respected voices on Wall Street and founder of Ellevest, the first financial company built to get more money in the hands of women;
  • Soledad O’Brien, an Award-winning American broadcast journalist and executive producer
  • Jeffrey Bruce “Ja Rule” Atkins, a Grammy-nominated rapper, songwriter, singer, and actor;
  • Elena Cardone, Top speaker and Entrepreneur
  • Jason Rosario, the Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion officer at BBDO and founder of social impact agency The Lives of Men.

FWM: Why should companies invest in their employees by sending them to the Women Who Roar Conference?

The most important asset of any organization is its employees. Their greatest competitive advantage is investing in their teams and supporting organizations they care about the most. The Summit is an excellent opportunity to provide employees with the kind of access, education, and collaborative support they can’t get anywhere else. As a result of attending the Summit, their teams will be sharper thinkers, producers, better team players, and a formula that equals happier employees and increased retention.

FWM: What’s next for you in 2021?

This year is all about community building and fostering multiple income streams. I want to be a major player in teaching women how to roar and be seen. My work to humanize the corporate experience for people of color will continue, and identifying opportunities to advise institutions on attracting, developing, and retaining their talent will remain a theme. I’m also writing a book on how to own your magic and having the audacity to be yourself.
